December is a month full of happiness, love and many parties.
Parties are so much fun, but before we get there, we have the biggest dilemma: I have nothing to wear!
The cold is no help since usually our scarfs and coats shadow our best clothes.
This look is the perfect example of an styled outfit for the festivities.
Coats are really important this time of year, that’s why I decided to wear a hoodstoothed one, it is one of my favorites coats this chilly season, and it has a nice fit and is really easy to combine with different colors.
The pattern of this coat has a 60s vibe, therefore I decided to wear it with a red loose fit pullover (perfect for this Christmas season) and in order to allude to my inspiration I combine it with a pair of black tights, a black pencil skirt and a pair of black ankle booties, very Mad Men style.
The hair do was keynote to achieve this retro look, I pinned it back and I curled up the rest of it with a classic hair iron.
What I love the most about this outfit is the clothes that form it are basics and timeless, when combined in an adequate way the result is an elegant and flattering look really easy to recreate, we all have a pencil skirt and a pullover.
My Recommendation:
We live in a timeless era, there is not a defined style, we are lucky to venture into our closets and get inspired by other times to create new look.
Get into your closets, your moms and even your grandmas, you may find sweaters and coats that have the potential to be used on another times inspired outfit.

Diciembre es un mes lleno de alegría, amor, regalos y muchas fiestas.
Las fiestas son muy divertidas pero antes llegar a ellas surge el gran dilema ¡No tengo nada que ponerme!
El frio no ayuda ya que nuestras mejores prendas suelen ser opacadas por nuestros abrigos y bufandas.
Este look es un perfecto ejemplo de vestimenta con estilo para éstas festividades.
El abrigo es muy importante en esta época del año por lo cual decidí usar uno de pata de gallo, es uno de mis favoritos esta temporada de frio, tiene un corte favorecedor y es muy fácil de combinar con distintos colores.
El patrón de este abrigo tiene un aire de los 60, por ello lo usé con un suéter amplio rojo (perfecto para la temporada navideña) y para aludir mi inspiración lo usé con un par de mallas negras, una falda de tubo negra y unos botines negros, al estilo Mad Men.
El peinado fue clave para lograr este look retro, lo peine hacia atrás y lo detuve con un par de pasadores, el resto lo ricé con una plancha de pelo clásica.
Lo que más me gusta de esta vestimenta es que las prendas que lo conforman son básicas y atemporales, combinadas adecuadamente tienen como resultado un look elegante, favorecedor y es fácil de recrear ya que todas tenemos una falda negra y un suéter estilo pullover.
Mi Recomendación:
Vivimos en una época en la cual no hay un estilo definido y por suerte podemos incursionar en nuestros closet e inspirarnos en otras épocas para crear un look.
Busquen sus closets, en los mamás e incluso abuelas y podrán encontrar suéteres y abrigos que tienen el potencial para crear una vestimenta inspirada en otra época.
